Information collected automatically
When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, including:
- Your IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system;
- The pages you view, the page that referred you, and the date and time of your visit;
- Your approximate location, derived from your IP address; and
- Information collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.
Contact form submissions are delivered to us by email and are not stored in a website database, and our form software does not store your IP address. Our security provider, Cloudflare, may process your IP address and browser information to protect the Site and block spam and bots.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your inquiries, prepare estimates and quotes, and schedule and perform work;
- Communicate with you about your project or our services;
- Operate, maintain, and secure the Site, including blocking spam and automated bots;
- Measure how well our online advertising works, including through Google Ads;
- Improve the Site and our services; and
- Comply with legal, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations and protect our rights.
We do not use personal information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose personal information only as described below:
- Hosting and security providers. The Site is delivered through Cloudflare, which provides content delivery, security, and bot protection (including Cloudflare Turnstile on our contact form), and the Site is hosted by Rocket.net, a WordPress hosting provider.
- Form and email delivery. Contact form submissions are processed by the Fluent Forms plugin on our website and delivered by email to our inbox at info@leftcoastelectric.com. They are not stored in a website database, and we do not use a CRM or other separate database for them.
- Recruiting provider. Our job listings are displayed through an ADP Workforce Now widget.
- Advertising. We use the Google Ads tag, provided by Google LLC, to measure the results of our ads. Google receives information about your visit, as described in the cookies section below.
- Embedded content providers. Some pages display content from other companies: Google Maps on our service-area pages, Google Fonts, Google reviews shown through Trustindex, and posts from our Instagram account. When your browser loads this content, those providers receive your IP address and browser information.
- Legal and business transfers. We may disclose information to comply with law or legal process, to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, customers, or others, to our professional advisors, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
- With your consent or at your direction.
Cookies, Advertising, and Your Choices
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. The Site uses:
- Essential cookies. Cloudflare sets a short-lived security cookie (__cf_bm) to tell people from bots, and Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from real people.
- Advertising cookies. The Google Ads tag (gtag.js) may set or read cookies, such as _gcl_au, to measure when a visit leads to an action like a form submission and, depending on how the tag and our Google Ads account are configured, to help show our ads to people who have visited the Site.
- Third-party content cookies. Google Maps, Trustindex, and Instagram content may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
Your choices. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; the Site will still work, although some embedded content may not display. You can manage Google ad personalization at myadcenter.google.com, and opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info.
Global Privacy Control. We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser. You can also opt out by email or phone as described in California Privacy Rights. The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”), gives you the rights described below. We offer these rights to all California residents.
